The macro trends that are most relevant to my sub-brand ‘Minimal’ are: Architecture and structure, delicate structure, feminism and mesh. I have chosen architecture because underwear is focused solely on structure and where it structures the body. Delicate structure is about the actual textures and material that underwear is made from. A delicate thing like lace and the structured lines can bring something so crucial together. Feminism because you shouldn’t have to hide something pretty just because it can sexualise women. What’s the difference in the structure being on the outside than the inside. Mesh is another one I have chosen because its nets are like latticed feelings that you can piece together and still be one.
