Alien,Transformative, Fictional nonfiction, Supernatural, Reactive
In my exploration of transforming fictional objects into reality, I took this project in wanting to make something alien and unnatural. For this I decided on the simple shape of a classic alien flying saucer, but I wanted to make the biscuits themselves appear out of this world and have them change in some way. I decided to experiment with butterfly pea tea powder as it has a reaction when an acid is added to it. My final design involved making a tea milk with the butterfly pea tea and turning it into a glaze to top the biscuits, therefore when the biscuit was dipped into the drink, in this case lemon juice, the biscuit itself would evolve and change on its own.
