Chiffon shoot the portrait collection

Although I very lightly edited this collection Ive also included a monochrome collection of edits which will be my next post. Here we Mikaela, who modelled for us on the same shoot as Rosie and we used pretty much the same styling equipment except this time I used wire, thread, silk, cello tape, a magnifying glass and lots of highlighter to style this shoot as we really wanted produce a few very clean images based feeling trapped, restricted and quite literally tied down.

Chiffon shoot

The chiffon shoot would be our first shoot for the magazine, modelling for us would the lovely Rosie Mansfield was is signed to Storm. The chiffon shoot was to be the shoot that we decided we would experiment with using anxiety as our inspiration. This was intended to be quite subtle as none of the group felt as though there should be any particular evocative work in the magazine.

Fashion direction continued

On returning to England, I quickly popped home to Bath and thought I could continue my research for the fashion direction of the magazine. first stop was Grace and Ted in Kings mead square, where they sell top designer names like Gucci and Mc Queen that may have never even been worn and are always in mint condition. I was hunting feminine knits that were nude or neutral and these were what I found. after putting this together for one of our earlier group presentations and showing the rest of the group, we decided that we would aim for a very feminine yet minimalistic knitwear for the fashion direction.

Interview shoot with Freya

Although I didn’t get to interview Freya, we did get to briefly talk around the subject of the pressures of working in fashion environments, and sometimes difficulties in being heard and even doing your job due to bad attitudes. This was still incredibly helpful to me when I was thinking about how to tackle the t-shirt shoot that would happen the week after when I got back to England.
