I looked at the photographer Don McCullin who originally documented the war and conflict in different places across the world including Cambodia, Cyprus, Vietnam and other places. McCullin was a veteran war photographer however, he has recently turned to landscape photography.
His photographs inspired me because they are landscape photography and they are monochrome images. The lighting in all of his images works so well and they make his images look quite peaceful. The use of the lighting and the monochrome in the images works well to capture the landscapes and all of the details of different aspects within the image. I think that all of his landscape images are quite beautiful.
I want my images to be similar to McCullin’s, however I want to do landscape and city photography so to link them together I am going to take my images in black and white, monochrome, so that they all link together.
