Red Photographs

In photography we created a project consisting of 10 photographs. In this project we had to chose a theme so we chose the colour red. We looked at different angles, composition (light and shade) and changed the aperture and the depth of field to try and capture the best images. We focused on different items that were all red to items that had a slight hint of red and looked at objects that were around the university. Out of all of the images that we took we used a mix of artificial (lights and the flash of the camera) and natural lighting. All of the photographs complement each other because of the different shades of red presented.

Life of a student

We then got assigned with a second project, which was to take pictures of a subject in the setting of art school. I decided to focus on a photography student. At first we took photographs of a student next to plants but the images didn’t indicate art school. I like how this image has worked out because of the neutral background colour and the lighting in the image (the composition). However, the aperture/shutter speed could of been improved so that the depth of field for the image was of better quality.
