Life Drawing

Taking weekly Life Drawing has definitely developed my drawing skills and enable me to look at the human form in a different way. During these sessions we looked at blind drawing, partial peek drawings, use of media (such as pen, inks, graphite) and contours.

Prints Using Analogue Photography

Using the Threshold effect in Photoshop, I made my analogue photograph black and white (influenced by pop art and Warhol). I have then gone on to produce a series of prints with a variety of backgrounds (warm & cold colours, complimentary colour combinations, inks) using brusho inks and acrylic paints.

Typography: VIVID

After short listing my choice of Zine names, I have decided on ‘VIVID’, with the strapline ‘Beautiful. Colourful. Art.’ My next task was designing the font and typography. I wanted it to be bold and bright, and so decided on creating a design that could be used as a stencil for different colour palettes. Below…

Make-Up As Art

For my next project, I have the opportunity to create and produce my own Zine. I have chosen for my theme to be looking at the link between make-up and art. Below, is my starting point image by Patrice Murciano, which caught my eye due to the intense colours and combination of paint and illustration.
