LINE Magazine

So for my final outcome of this research project, I am creating a very short magazine/magazine spreads based on the my research.

Content will include:

• A photoshoot inspired by the Black Panther Party fashions combined with modern trends
• An interview/survery about the representation of Black people in the media, with street photography
• Adverts
• A tribute to Erykah and Lauryn

While deciding on a name for the magazine, I considered many names such as Ebony, Jet, Onyx, Slate, Noir, Verve, but decided on LINE, for a number of reasons: ‘line’ is another word for ‘race’, there is a ‘line’ that racists cross, and ‘lines’ represent the jail bars of police cells.
