SEGA

Sega is a the traditional dress and music genre of Seychelles and Mauritius. The Sega dance, a popular style of dance, has influenced some of the most dramatic couture, traditionally associated with the Seychelles and Mauritius. The dance’s origins are not clear, with it being associated with Mauritius, Madagascar, Mozambique and even stretching as far as Brazil. Montea, also known as Moutya, is a similar dance and music-inspired fashion, with a focus on floral.

The dresses show exotic colours and prints, with a mirrored silhouette: emphasis on the waist, capped sleeves, sweetheart neckline and large A-line skirt that finishes just below the knee.
