    What is interesting about this structure is that it considered to be a ‘boat’ which invites definition.
    The second is the tremendous craft shown in the painstaking scale of construction. It reflects the viewers first impression of being a hand made piece.
    Thirdly that there is no statement which explains the intention behind the work and so the viewer is ‘at sea’.
    I am particularly drawn to the idea of being inside the boat – adrift from the familiar and placed within in a linear, textured edge environment. My imagination feels that sound is affected, perhaps even smell.
