October 13th 2017 #Inktober Day 13 – Train

Trains. I’ve got a bit of a thing about train stations, but they don’t usually involve much of the train itself.

The 8:10 train

So this morning I took a photo of the 8:10 from Brighton to Moulsecoomb before I got on it, and set to work at lunchtime. I started with a bit of tracing as I found getting the main shape right a challenge when I did the bus the other day. After that I went freehand with my marker pen and then some colouring in Photoshop. Decided to leave the little people in but not colour them, I liked the effect.

I would have quite looked to tackle the station as well but thought it would all be far too busy when the focus was the train…another time you can have some Victorian architecture!
