CNC Milling was selected for the manufacture of the desk due to its accuracy and efficiency. The method also provides flexible manufacture and is suitable for sheet materials which the desk would be largely comprised of.
This method allows for large volumes of units to be produced efficiently which reduces machine running time compared to alternative methods. This helps to lower the products carbon footprint per unit made which was another reason for its selection.
The remaining components would be outsourced and assembled to produce the final units.
Interface Manufacture
Coding
In order to develop the interface into a functional App it would need to be professionally coded. In order to do this effectively it should be coded in Swift.This is a relatively new programming language for IOS however it is cross-platform as of 2015 meaning their is adaptability to other devices.
This language has become more popular in recent years meaning it is easier to find developers compared to older languages which are losing coders. Making it a cheeper option then other languages.
The App would initially be brought out for IOS because of its client base having a heavily creative and innovative nature. Apples App store is an ideal platform to launch a product with its large client base.

Device’
Initially the app would be launched on IOS, If it was a success a redesign would follow making the app suitable for Android and other operating systems. The original design is built using IOS features which would need to be edited however a redesign would be relatively straightforward.The application would be coded using swift so coding would be cross platform, this cuts costs as the same very similar code could be used on multiple platforms, the only difference being the operating system features. This strategy helps to widen the accessibility of the product to more users.
