From the dashboard select Tools>Export

Then Select Download Export File.

This will download an xml file.

To import the site to a different wordpress instance, in the new instance select Tools>Import.

Who does this?

When you graduate from Brighton you may wish to migrate your blog to a new WordPress instance, or another blogging platform.
Many systems have their own import tools, but can use the exported site file.
