My portfolio journey

Throughout this whole module, creating my portfolio has definitely been the hardest task so far. I originally thought I would just put a few images onto InDesign lay them out nicely and I would be done. Graphics and imagery aren’t really my strong point so I felt keeping it simple would look the best. However, I learnt that there is a really fine line with keeping it simple. As it very easily can look lazy or that you haven’t put effort in. I re-worked my portfolio around 4 times continually changing and adding to it. I learnt that small details such as page numbers and keeping themes continual really work in making your portfolio look slick and professional. After struggling so much with getting it right, I actually think my portfolio is one of my favourite pieces of work I have created this module! I’ve also learnt that simplicity is not always about having lots of white space and minimal writing, simplicity can also include colour and graphics, as long as they are considered and clean.
