Through my research I have found myself being inspired by sculptures and artists such as Franz West and Erwin Wurm, I also have found that I am inspired by the idea of distortion of thoughts. This is why I did this still life shoot, I began by creating these mini sculptures and building them up onto each other. I tied them tightly with strong to distort their shape and create a bulbous feel to them. They aim to represent a dyslexic brain and its thoughts. I feel they have a scientific feel to them due to their shape, but in some images, they look like stone sculptures. I like how ambiguous they are as it means it is open for interpretation. I stuffed the sculptures with different colours in the aim to represent different processing parts of the brain and different ideas and thoughts. Once they stand together as a whole they become a visual representation of different ideas and information working together as a whole to create a unique outcome.
