Student elected to COP Student Council
Huge congratulations to Eleanor Tanner who has been elected to the College of Paramedics Student Council.
Eleanor, a Paramedic Science BSc(Hons) student, had to complete a 500 word supporting statement as part of the application process where she stated one of her reasons for applying was to ‘get involved with everything I can’ in what we all know has been a very strange year.
Eleanor will be the student voice of the South East in the newly formed council which will consist of members from 12 regions in the UK.
Eleanor will take up her post in January 2021 and will attend regular meetings to discuss regional and national topics of importance to student paramedics.
Eleanor said: “Considering that this was an election where my peers voted I am so honoured and grateful to have been voted in.
“I think the student council is a really important part of the College of Paramedics to ensure that students have their voices heard and are able to influence the profession we will one day be a part of.
“As future paramedics our opinions and collective student voice is so important and it’s such a privilege to have been trusted as a vessel for the student paramedic voices in the South East!”
We wish you every success in your role Eleanor.
