Success in the Passion for Hospitality Competition

Three International Hospitality Management BA(Hons) students travelled to London for the Institute of Hospitality‘s Passion for Hospitality Competition.

Ina, Irina and Caroline competed in the HOTS Business Game competition to run a virtual resort hotel. Despite some challenges along the way and some difficult strategic business decision making they beat off fierce competition from other universities to take third place!

After being presented with their trophy by Peter Ducker, Chief Executive of the Institute of Hospitality, the girls commented on the wonderful experience they had meeting and working with other students and how proud they were to have achieved their award.

Ina, Irina and Caroline are following in the footsteps of many of our other successful students who have been winners of both the HOTS simulation and the Passion for Hospitality debate

The day also included a careers fair and a meet up with Nicole D’Cruz who graduated from the course in June 2017. Nicole is currently on the graduate programme with Jury’s Inn hotels and has completed rotation across all departments and is currently carrying out Duty Manger role throughout the hotel.
