During week 15, I continued to plan, conduct and edit photoshoots for my final outcome (publication.) A key shoot this week was a shoot I did with my grandma and her partner. The aim of the shoot was to capture an elderly couple wearing contemporary fast fashion looking gluttonous, surrounded by distasteful cakes. My focus was to depict a clear juxtaposition by dressing the models in clothing which wasn’t associated with their age. In other words, clothing from high street stores which was garish, unconventional and on trend currently. To further this contrast, I chose to shoot in my grandmas home, which I set up in a particular typical old person and traditional way, verging on distasteful. overall, I felt this would create a visual chaos by creating unconventional fashion images where the models looks out of place in their surroundings and clothing.
During this week I also planned an additional shoot which I will be completing in week 16. This shoot has a similar concept by placing the model in clothing which looks awkward and wrong in the settings they are in. I plan to shoot in natural locations with the model wearing a selection of strange clothing to create a contrast. The message behind this shoot is the ideas around finding comfort and calm within chaos and the beauty of chaos.
Furthermore, this week I also began to create my magazine by doing the layout/ design of my publication.
Below are a few images from my shoot from this week:
