Marketing yourself is essential to every step of your success, from finding a job to building your own small business. Self-marketing means building your own personal brand, but it requires a bit of a different approach than marketing a company.  In this session Ollie Taylor, Marketing Campaigns Officer will help you figure what that means for yourself and your own success.

The team from Neuco Ltd, a Brighton based Global Recruitment and Executive search company will be offering tips and techniques which will help you succeed in producing a CV that will help you get noticed and short-listed .  Harry, Henry, Katya and Charlotte will provide some great advice and will show CV templates with examples of what a good and not-so-good CV would look like, a practical session to help you improve your recruitment chances.

Mock Assessment Centre with Computacentre

If you haven’t come across assessment centre’s already in your job searches then you will soon.  So many businesses now run assessment centres where they bring together shortlisted applicants and spend a morning or day completing individual and group tasks!

Craig will be running a mock assessment centre exercise, a fully hands on session where you will learn first-hand what they are all about.  Craig will also divulge some hints and tips on how to succeed!

The Careers and Employability team run some excellent mentoring programmes that aim to help support your continued professional and personal development. Mentoring is all about you working with a professional to help you achieve the goals you set for yourself and to reach your potential. It doesn’t mean that you have to have a particular issue or problem that needs solving. You work with your mentor to jointly achieve these goal.  Each year, students feedback that the experience has genuinely made a positive difference.
