Using the name of my Zine, Pink, I focused on how I could hand-draw type either with sketching, ink or through Illustrator. I kept the basis of the colour throughout each idea, but adjusted it depending on how I wanted it to appear overall. One of the ideas (bottom right) was done accidentally by using the join tool on Illustrator on the type above it: visually, I think that this is a really interesting design, but thought that it was too harsh and didn’t suit my zine. My final design was the top design, with the sans-serif, straight type but a circle background. It’s simplicity suited femininity as it is quite bubbly and bold, but also didn’t look too busy when next to illustrations.
