On september 14th all my clothes, bedding, furniture, pots and pans to name just a few where squeed into my mums car and traveled 132 miles from Leicester to my new home in Brighton. Thoughts going through my head on that day where a combination of excitement at the idea of moving to this beautiful city as well a slight nervous feeling at the idea of the unknown and unfamiliar. However i was soon put at ease after meeting all six of my new house mates, who little did i know at this point would make the next month of my time in Brighton the most memorable and enjoyable few weeks exploring our new home town together.
the first few days in Brighton was a combination of organising our new home from the kitchen, bathrooms and most importantly my bedroom that for me plays the important roll as my working area and somewhere i can really relaxes and enjoy living on my own for the first time. however these first few days also offered the perfect opportunity to explore Brighton city center and stunning costal beach, with the weather offering a number of sunny September days myself and my house mates soon found ourselves getting lost in the incredible lanes exploring endless numbers of vintage and secondhand shops as well as discovering the never ending choose of unique and indavual coffee shops along the way. Our bearings would soon land us on the sea front where we could sit with an cool cider and enjoy the last of the sun that day and take in my new exciting and incredible home for the next four years. My first week in Brighton was also the perfect opportunity to discover the nightlife and famously recognised music seen in Brighton, each night offered a new and exciting venue with a mixed genre of music, the night life in Brighton soon proved up to the exceptions of it’s reputation with a lot of fun had by myself and my house mates.
one of the important parts of my first few weeks in Brighton has been about enrolling at my new university and getting a key insight into my course and what it’s going to entail for the next four years’Fashion Communication with Business’. I was able to do this by attending the leachers, seminars and group activities with has given me the opportunity to get to know other likeminded people intrested in the same industry within fashion as me. overall my first week in Brighton has been a combernation of new and exciting experiences from the people to the places, but one things for sure that nears feeling i had at the start of the week has long gone.
