Why am I here?

This is a blog on my photography progress and I am Ellie Rowe.

Hello, as you may have guessed, my name is Ellie Rowe but what you may not know, is that for the last few years I have had a growth spurt of interest in visually appealing imagery. I began studying media at the age of fourteen, and with that, I was introduced to photography and visual culture. Through combining the two subjects-turned-hobbies, I have overcome the fear of failure and embarrassment and gone ahead with creating a blog and Instagram page, that I have been calling an ‘inspo/portfolio.’ Here, I collect and share images I find visually appealing, my own photography, and images I distort and edit, just for fun.

What it is, I am yet to answer, but there is something so very satisfying for me in photography. Photography puts me into a different state of mind, because I can show something the way I want it to be seen. I like to get complemented on my work, but the reason I know I enjoy photography is because I also enjoy the criticism.

So continuing on this path of feedback, this blog will be a narration of over five weeks, where I will try to push my inspo-portfolio to make it more visually captivating Instagram portfolio. Throughout this journey I am going to try and gain more followers, get more likes and hopefully, result in more feedback on my work!

Well, thats the plan.

Right. To follow my progress, check out @xpretty_generic on Instagram. I will start immediately on trying to drive traffic more so towards my work, by following, liking and hash tagging in the way the experts believe are correct, and I will keep my blog posted with my progress!
