– mine.One of my biggest inspirations for this project has been my mum, growing up around her photo books full of her timeless images taken at events, raves and travelling, documenting her own youth culture and soul music scene in the 80s, documenting the identities around her, she’d always have a story about every photograph. To look at my images that i have taken documenting my scene, it’s interesting to see the difference between the both, in some images, i see a similarity but in others there’s a complete difference, for example the posing is similar but the use of phone and technology that is in my photos conveys how much more my mums photographs were taken in the moment.
