Art, Design and Technology, and Religious Studies PGCE Exhibition

The School of Education recently celebrated an exhibition of work from PGCE and School Direct students studying Art & Design, Design and Technology and Religious Studies.

open evening 1The evening was a great chance for students to showcase their work to other students, tutors and mentors as well as their families. Over the years the event has gained popularity and is always very well attended.

The work on display was part of final assessments for each route. As part of their course, students present and discuss their rationales and ethos for their subject in relation to their experience and practice on placement as well as for their future NQT year.

Many of the mentors who have supported students on placements attend and the exhibition provided an opportunity for them, teachers and students to gain ideas and inspiration for future classroom teaching. It was also the perfect opportunity to network and helped the School of Education develop strong links with its partnerships.

It was  a lovely way to end the year, celebrating the achievements of all our students, and we wish them the best of luck as many enter into their first year as Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs).
