A welcome return to our PGCE teacher trainees.

It’s been great welcoming new teacher trainees studying one of our postgraduate teaching courses, as they joined us for the first time on campus at the beginning of September. For their first three weeks, and as part of their induction, trainees will take part in various enrichment activities, workshops and field trips which will help them develop their skills and prepare for the first phase of school-based training.

From printmaking with art and design trainees in our specialist art classrooms, science trainees learning about vision and light in our science labs, and English trainees taking part in collaboration and group work – it has been fantastic having everyone back after the summer.

These activities support our trainees in developing their knowledge and confidence in how to teach as well as help them to understand underpinning pedagogical theory.

Whether you have just graduated, or you are considering a career change – find out more about the variety of routes we offer to help you kick start your journey into teaching.
