So i booked an initial day to actually set p the set and see how is best to light it etc. The stands we made were actually harder to manoeuvre. I got my friend to help me lift the MDF and bring it to the performance studio but they had to leave after so I was trying to slit it into the stands by myself and this was extremely hard. I also found that the middle between the two boards would slope down as there was not a stand in the middle so t had to balance on an extra piece of timber which did work well actually. And because of the stands this meant the whole thing was raised off the floor leaving a gap at the bottom . This would be something that I would have to photoshop out and you can see in the image on the right I photoshopped it out apart from the middle of the chair you can see the gap but it was good to test it out and practise removing this part of the image in post production
I then went on photoshop and needed to figure out how to do it. Previously wen I have tried to blend and blur on photoshop I use the healing brush tool and copy i=different parts of the image to blur however this didn’t work because the lines are too strong it just copies the lines and puts them elsewhere so it doesn’t blend.
I then tried using the gradient tool and selected the backdrop but then that just made a gradient of the whole image it doesn’t graduate whats already there just adds on top. So then I found a blur tool and started using that I managed to select the yellow circle bit but if I do that it just blurrs within the selection so I need to select the blue and the yellow and the red to blur them into each other. Which works to an extent. The red is impossible to select because it blends into the figures skin so I have to select the yellow and blue first and blur then individually draw around the red which is very hard as it needs to be smooth. This then creates this weird texture on-top of the colour that I previously blended. But it took me around 4 hours to find a method that I think works and can be shown to the left. I found it i select the yellow and the blue then go filte then blur gallery then path blur it blurs really well. And then I do the same with the red and when I am done editing I add some noise which I know seems silly considering I’m using such a high def camera but I like the bit of frain and it helps blur the image a little bit
