The most important part of the process I knew was going to have to be the editing. Because I had issues getting a VHS camera to use for this project I was going to have to rely on editing and a selection of applications to help give it the effect that I wanted. I had to pass my videos through the app “Glitche” and then into another app which gave a VHS effect. This took a couple of attempts to get the colouring perfect as many apps would make it less vibrant and I wanted this campaign to be vibrant. I then had to work on getting appropriate imagery to use in green screen. I experimented with different choice of backgrounds, finding they were too clean compared to the effect of the models I had to edit them to also have this kind of VHS look. I wanted each model to have their own patterned background but found I ended up mixing it up. On reflection I believe it was rather successful shoot, however realised I didn’t need to take photographs and could have focused purely on the stills from the videos. I also wish I had the opportunity to have used a VHS camera for a cleaner shot that what I ended up with but I do still believe the imagery is strong.
