Initially after receiving the project brief I was quite stuck with what to do. For me when I think about all the issues that surround this idea of body image especially in the media, I think they are so talked about and do pressed upon that for me I questioned what zine I could create that would be different from all the others already created. This led me to overthink the initial beginning when in fact I just needed to experiment. I did think maybe I should focus on the skin, it’s texture and imperfections. But I did want to experiment with illustration and believed that I might find this a bit difficult and not have the outcomes I would want. I knew I also wanted to have my zine heavily photography based as this is a medium I enjoy using.
