Comics For Life

World Blood Donor Day 2024

Student illustrators co-created artwork for World Blood Donor Day (14 June) and Sickle Cell Awareness, using comics to spark
campus-wide conversations and signposting to NHS Blood Donation.

Silence to Strength: Advocating Sickle Cell Equity through Comics (Symposium)

Sickle cell advocates, artists and frontline healthcare professionals explored how graphic medicine can
improve understanding of A&E experiences, challenge misconceptions, and inform future clinician education.
