Work in Progress Presentations 2017

Registration closed for Work in Progress Presentations

Abstracts booklet and timetables

Do you want to present at our Festival of Postgraduate Research?

Call for abstracts: Friday 24 March, 2017.

DEADLINE EXTENDED: Monday 10 April, 12pm ie noon

In addition to offering a broad range of panels, workshops and competitions, this year’s festival will also provide research students (both doctoral and MRes) with the opportunity to be involved in work in progress seminars, much as they have been at our annual conferences in previous years.

This year, however, the seminars will take place at each campus rather than at one central location, hopefully making it easier for students, supervisors and interested parties to attend. Dates for the presentations are as follows:

  • Tues 16 May: Eastbourne
  • Thurs 18 May: Grand Parade and Moulsecoomb
  • Friday 19 May: Falmer

If you are unavailable to present at your local campus on the above dates, please indicate this when you complete the registration form so we can include you in an alternative session.

The work in progress seminars will be scheduled so each student will present for up to 10 minutes with time for the questions from the audience to follow. These will be organised sessions but the format will be informal. The aim is to provide a valuable platform for students to develop confidence in talking further about their research.

If you would like to present, please complete our online form, which requires the inclusion of a short abstract (250 word max), by Friday 24 March Monday 10 April, 12pm ie noon

If you have any questions, please contact Fiona Sutton.
