This project was based on taking my chosen text as a starting point and then creating a video that has some relation to the text. The focus of my text, “The Fat Workie” is on the jealousy that the workie has for those who do less physically taxing jobs but still end up slimmer than him. I took this idea of jealousy and hoped to turn it into more of a sibling rivalry. My idea was too have two brothers growing up in the same home but in different conditions, one being nurtured and one being left to fend for himself more. The boys circumstance would lead them into their respective jobs of business man and builder or “Workie”. The Workies jealousy would then appear on a deeper level. I hope to be able to used many different types of animation in this project and I wish to take some cinematic queues from Wes Anderson. I have always found his ways of explaining narrative very interesting however, being a famous director, I doubt I will be able to create anything on par with his work, nonetheless my ideas take inspiration from him.
