By giving, you will boost innovative collaborations between leaders in communities and academia, working together on some of today’s most complex challenges in social justice, resilience and equity. Donors will be invited to vote for the winners each year, with the winning entries receiving a financial award to further their activities. Nominations will be accepted for the work of community-university partnerships from anywhere in the world.
We have raised over £10,000 to date and the first awards were made in 2017. However, as David himself wrote about universities and civic engagement, “sustainability is the key challenge – one that cannot be taken for granted”, and we hope you will consider making a contribution to help ensure these awards have longevity.
There are a number of ways in which donations can be made and details can be sought from Mrs Sam Davies (Director of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement at the University of Brighton, sam.davies@brighton.ac.uk). For any organisations which wish to make a gift, a donation invoice can be raised.
