Do you love books? Are you interested in working in the Curriculum Centre?

We’re looking to add to our pool of casual student helpers in the Curriculum Centre for the new academic year 24/25. Our student helpers are involved in all aspects of the Curriculum Centre and this is a casual grade 3 role.

What’s involved?

  • You’ll be the first point of contact for staff and Trainee Teaching students on the enquiry desk, answering questions about our resources and helping staff and students find items on our catalogue and in the Centre.
  • You’ll be assisting with the upkeep of the Centre, including shelving, shelf cleaning and tidying, creating displays and keeping our classroom materials fully stocked.
  • You’ll be closing up the Centre at the end of each shift, making sure the Centre is clear and tidy for the next day. Occasionally, you may also be opening the Centre.
  • You’ll be issuing items using our Heritage system as well as updating items on the system to help keep our catalogue up to date.
  • You’ll be jacketing books and making simple repairs to items.
  • You’ll be assisting the two Curriculum Centre Supervisors with projects and daily tasks.

You will be given full training on all aspects of your Curriculum Centre work.
