Creating short URLs / Redirects
Most pages will have an expanding panel in the Properties tab called Aliases. This allows you to set aliases (now there’s a surprise), which have two main uses:
- Custom URLs – creating a customised shorter URL for a page
- Redirects – redirecting from an old / archived /renamed page to a new / live page
The latest upgrade to the CMS has changed the way aliases are dealt with. Not everyone has access, or will get access, to create aliases. When you need to create one get in touch with the web team.
