Pineapples and Paint Pens 21.10.20

Activity: Drawing a pineapple using no verbal communication. Use a paint pen and large roll of paper. Pen tied between a stick with each person holding an end of the stick.

My reflections: I did the activity with a peer. It was a fun experience and there was less movement. Our pen was not working a lot, so we had to adapt and use a lot of stabbing and using dots. We worked quite fluidly up the anatomy of the pineapple showing how we both think alike. We managed to get some detail into it with different pen strokes. We did a handshake at the end where we lifted the pen off the paper and shook both ends in sync to signal that we had finished. Our hands worked well together because we practiced being in a motion before hand to get into a smooth rhythm. It was rhythmical.

What would I do next time?: Use a longer or shorter stick. Use another object to draw.

How could we do this remotely?: Use Jam Board or draw on a screen closing eyes and drawing and seeing what the other person does. Describing how to draw for somebody else.
