Positions of power and passivity

There are many positions we can place ourselves within while working with vulnerable individuals. Taking on the role of a facilitator means standing and sitting in positions within a room that allow participants to feel encouraged, yet free to create work in a safe and inspiring environment.

Dominating position: Over somebodies back.

Passive position: Not interested in the person or the artwork. Totally out of being present in the space.

Supportive: Using a corner keeling down.

Being an artist: Sat across adjacent at either corner getting on with something at the same time instead of just watching.

My reflection: I felt like I need to work on understanding what the words mean like passive. I am good at managing where I stand, sit and not getting too close. I must make sure I am open and not so closed in my body language when working collaboratively.

How could this be done remotely?: Not pinning peoples faces to a particular place on screen. Everybody is the same size on the tiles. Have frameworks online such as neutral background.
