Matt (Abbey’s Dad)
For this shoot and interview, we wanted to use an older individual, to juxtapose age and gender fluidity, I took this opportunity to draft and execute an interview. We began with the shoot by creating moodboards again before, Abbey then styled her dad in her house and we used her house as the set. we used makeup and feminine clothes whilst making reference to 60’s rock and the acid queens.
I didn’t prep Abbey’s dad on this interview and completely undertook it spontaneously as I thought it would give us the most genuine data. Some of the knowledge and quotes have been the main body of my article on Clothing, age and nostalgia. i found this shoot to be extremely beneficial as it gave our magazine an edge. With Alternative Narratives. It was also pleasant to meet abbeys dad as he was quite the character!
