Zine Finals

Here are some screenshots of some of my pages from my zine. I couldn’t think of a strong theme for this so I tried to keep it simple in colour, and just keep it relevant to Brighton and the youth that live here. I wanted to keep my zine simple and easy to look through whilst still having some interesting content. I think choosing a black and white theme for the photos made them look more striking and interesting to look at and I think they tell more of a story than in colour.

Gif 1

This is my first gif for this project. I used illustrator to draw on top of my image and then created the gif on photoshop. The time between the images is 0.2 seconds which I found the most suitable time, to be able to see both images clearly with enough time.

Life Drawing Workshop with Phil

Today we had our first life drawing workshop with Phil. At the start I found it really hard to get to grips with the way of drawing that he was teaching, which was ‘draw what you see, not what you know.’ We also did some 10 second gesture drawings with ink which I enjoyed more and found a lot easier too do as I felt like there was less pressure because of the short amount of time we had. Here are some my drawings from todays workshop – an upside down drawing from a magazine, a 10 minute blind drawing and some ink gestures.
