Recently I have been focusing on making storyboards for my comic. This first storyboard illustrates the life-cycle and regeneration of the immortal jellyfish; I would like this journey to be central to my comic but with other elements added to it.

This is my second storyboard, inspired by My Octopus Teacher I wanted this to be a metaphor for a mental health journey. My idea of the journey is a fish who has been attacked and has given up hope of living the life it did before, is then inspired by the jellyfish repairing itself and carrying on despite being injured. As shown in the storyboard, I would like to use colour palettes, and the changing environment around the characters to symbolise emotions. I’m happy with the journey I have created here, although there are many more frames than I expected so I think my next stage will be figuring out how to shorten it without cutting out the message I want to convey.
