I chose a flora and fauna theme initially for my ‘world’, as I was drawn to the images of bugs and fish. I incorporated a bit of surrealism into it by adding human features such as eyes and ears, to the animals. I find working in 3D quite challenging but I think that I created some successful three-dimensional elements in my world. I layered card in the background, with each piece standing further forward, to create a sense of depth; and layered waves standing up from the page. If I could create this again I would have incorporated more interactive elements, to add to the three-dimensional effect and so that I would’ve had more to experiment with when creating stop-motions.
