I really enjoyed working collaboratively during this workshop and combining so many different styles of drawing into one cohesive set of cards. Once we decided on the concept of university halls, we began by drawing our individual scenes, and initially it was quite challenging to figure out how we would connect them together into one flowing landscape. As the backgrounds of the cards all show very different scenes, we utilised the foreground by adding in details which connected all of the characters to show they were all part of one narrative. We used the same media and chose one object on each card to colour in black, in order to merge our styles together. I think this workshop was really useful as it got me to think about how many different narratives could be told with one set of images, and how many stories we could communicate through one landscape, instead of focusing on just one scenario.
