***DON’T MISS THIS EVENT *** Starting Up: The good, the bad, and the ugly, Wednesday, 23 November from 5:30pm – 8:00pm, Cockcroft Hall
The University of Brighton’s beepurple team is hosting its annual celebratory event, “Starting Up: The good, the bad, and the ugly”, on Wednesday, 23 November 2016, from 5:30pm – 8:00pm, in Cockcroft Hall, Moulsecoomb campus.
This year, we have four INSPIRATIONAL entrepreneurs speaking at the event – three of whom are alumni from the University of Brighton.
We will be joined by Graphic Design graduate, Maria Fox of Maria Allen Boutique, who – having started her business during her first year at university – now has an impressive team of nine employees, based in her studio in Hove.
Illustration graduate, Melanie Smith of STORY, will also be joining us. She will be sharing her experience of how a successful crowdfunding campaign has helped launch her children’s story-telling kit.
And finally, we will also be hearing from Inclusive Arts Practice graduate, Abi Jones, and Co-Founder Kit Man, from Artspace Brighton – an inclusive arts practice aimed at adults with mental health support needs.
This event is FREE to attend, but booking is essential. To book your free space, please book via this link: https://onedrive.live.com/survey?resid=9E882733077CB0EF!213&authkey=!AK4HXdkxih7sO6E
This event is for students and alumni who would like to find out more about self-employment, for university staff who would like to hear from some extremely motivating graduates, and for local entrepreneurs who would like to spend an inspiring event with other like-minded individuals at the University of Brighton.
Drinks and light refreshments will be provided. Please email the beepurple team if you have any specific access or dietary requirements.
