Interested In Sports Coaching in the US? The US Sports Institute needs energetic young coaches to join its Sports Squirts program to deliver exciting sports experiences to young children. A squirts coach will be working with children aged 3-7, and so must be able to motivate young children, using their imagination, as well as teaching the essential skills and basic coaching points for each sport. http://bit.ly/2d8gt2I

Opening for applications 3 October: Change100 is a 3-month summer internship for students and recent graduates with a disability or long-term health condition. The programme incorporates a paid full-time role at a prestigious employer as well as a development programme including self-directed and group work. http://bit.ly/2dwXjGd

Opening for applications 6 October: Charityworks is a paid 12-month graduate scheme where graduate trainees deliver a full time job in a partner charity or housing association and take part in an acclaimed leadership programme.  Last year they recruited 149 trainees into over 80 non-profit sector organisations. http://bit.ly/2cE5eAL

Competitions and awards

Closing 21 October at 12pm (noon): Do you know a sportsperson that has had a remarkable year? Perhaps you know an organisation that is doing amazing things in their community? Or a volunteer that goes above and beyond to help others enjoy sport? If so, then please nominate them for the Sussex Sports Awards 2016! Closing 28 October: Shell Springboard provides funding, marketing and networking support to UK small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with commercially viable business models that help reduce carbon emissions. they are currently accepting applications for awards ranging from £40,000 to £150,000.  http://bit.ly/2cDZJgD
