The Usability of the Rocket

The Rocket:

The Assembly and Setup-

The assembly of the rocket requires no tools and can be put together with ease by combining the water bottle with the pressure release mechanism using a quick screw on method. But first you must fill the bottle with water and make sure the mechanism is on securely. Then once on the rocket you simply need to use glue to attach the fins and cone to the rocket however, the area where the fins need to go is clearly outlined on the model of the rocket and the cone tip simply needs to be centred. Once everything is attached then you mount the release mechanism onto the tri pod platform and insert the bicycle pump nozzle. Then your ready to launch! Simply pump the rocket until it takes off. The rocket will work in every kind of weather conditon apart from windy and wet weather that could stop it from travelling the distance you would want it to or even worse, blowing it away.

Transportation –

The rocket and it’s pieces are small enough to fit in a 10cm^2 area meaning every backpack will be able to hold the rocket. There are no sharp edges and no fragile pieces that could smash so there are no worries for any damage. Luckily, the rocket is made of recyclable plastic and the cone is made from paper that you could get anywhere so if your rocket cone were to break at any point it could be remade with ease. the whole rocket weighs less than 1kg without any water so its perfect to carry by anyone. Though the rocket cannot be compressed due to the fins, it does not require any box or case and therefore it’s perfectly fine to simply throw loose into your backpack.

Storage –

You can store this rocket wherever you please so long as it is not damp as the paper parts of the rocket may grow mould however, all you need to do is simply detach the pressure mechanism and place the kit anywhere together. The total size of the package would be 10cm^2 as mentioned so even a shoe box would fit it all in!

Maintenance –

As the rocket is made from plastic it may suffer wear and tear over long term use but it can easily be replaced. The mounted pressure mechanism is made from strong plastic and would be very durable so that would simply need to be cleaned every now and then so that it’s clean whenever used. The fins and cone tip may need to be replaced after around 10 uses as they may naturally deform from winds or from crashes so make sure to keep them in great condition.
