I have completed more photography for my main feature, Skin Stories. I have photographed two new models, as well as re-shooting two previous models. I have now shot 5 models for Skin Stories and I am aiming to get to 10 with the hope of them each having 2 double-page spreads (equating to roughly 40 pages of my magazine).
Re-shooting Model 1.
I took some more images of the model with the collarbone scar, who I am naming Model 1, as he had another scar on his arm that I wanted to capture. Below are my first final layouts for his images;
I have also photographed a new model (Model 3) who had constructive knee surgery around 35 years ago, leaving her with a big scar. I have included a layout I created using images I shot with her below;
This shows how I plan to make Skin Stories cohesive despite using a collection of models and stories. I will include a mixture of interviews, pull-out quotes and information about scars, tattoos and physical appearance, as well as the effect they have on identity.
I also got more images of the man with the scar tissue on his inner thigh (Model 4) as I was not happy with the lighting in the previous ones I had taken. Below are the edited images, experimenting with layouts.
I have not yet edited the images from the fifth model but will post an update when I do.
