This post relates to pages 74 & 75 in my sketchbook.
For my feature which focuses on issues regarding the eco-crisis and sustainability, I have gotten into contact with Photographer Ed Humphris who I will collaborate with. To ensure Ed has a clear art and photographic direction I have created 4 mood boards which showcase my vision for the outcome of this shoot;
I created this mood board to highlight the picnic setting which I want to use. I will ensure to supply the relevant objects for the set-up, as well as a variety of fruits and a cake. I will ensure that all objects and garments, like with all of my other shoots, are sourced second-hand or from mine/the models’ wardrobe, and we will be respectful and responsible to the area we are in, ensuring no rubbish is left behind.
I really love the image to the far left and want Ed to take images which do not have the model’s faces in but instead have a focus on the setting and their bodies.
This is a mood board which I created with a focus on the male model. I want Ed to try to capture a range of laid-back and authentic poses which explore ‘soft’ masculinity. I will style the model in a mixture of button-up shirts and jumpers/sweatshirts.
This is a mood board I created with a focus on the female model. I want Ed to capture a mix of candid, uplifting poses and stylized dynamic poses. I will style her in a selection of dresses and white linen trousers and make sure that they are cohesive with one another.
This mood board is my favourite of the four and has a focus on the two models being together. I want Ed to capture a sense of playfulness between the two, with them dancing and interacting with one another. I really like the idea of Ed experimenting with taking shots below the two models to capture the sky behind them, as shown in the smaller images.
