I have begun designing my website as part of my visual promotion to ensure my magazine is easily accessible and seen by my target audience. It is not currently live but I plan to get it ‘ready’ to go live over the next week- giving me approximately 3 weeks to add any additional features I want before the hand-in. I have used Wix to create my website as it is the software I am most familiar with and I feel that I can navigate it successfully.
I have included a Home Page, Blog Page (which will show snippets of my written and visual content), Contact Page, and a Search Bar, as well as a direct link to idem’s Instagram Page which shows as the Instagram logo.
Below is the writing I have included on the ‘about’ page, this again might be tweaked as I finalise idem.
@idem_magazine is the Instagram handle to which I have linked on the website.
I have created the base structures for my main articles and features by using a blog post style, as I progress in putting together idem and finalising the written content I will include snippets to ensure these posts are visually appealing and catch the reader’s eye.
I feel really happy with the progress I have made as I now feel I have a strong structure to build on and promote. I have also prepped a series of Instagram posts which will tie in with these ‘blog’ posts, and both idem’s website and Instagram Page will link to each other.
