Using self-assessment to create shared understanding of marking criteria & ‘What do I actually need to do?’ Effective assignment briefs  

In this short session we explore the use of self assessment in student understanding of assignment tasks.  We consider some examples of self assessment in practice and also examine a sample assignment brief with a view to identifying ways in which it might be improved hopefully generating ideas for good practice in assignment brief design.
