I have created a half functioning app that is designed to be used on a phone (most likely iPhones) as the idea of the app is to go outside and snap QR codes to receive insight into the brand as well as loyalty points to spend in store or online. The app maker website has had a slight bug so some things do not work correctly or somethings jump out of place. There are links to the Youtube video teaser as well as the Instagram account.

EVENT AND PRINT AD

This is my plan for event and print media. The first image is of a billboard/ advert in print format. I think it may be too busy but I wanted to incorporate the images, classic Burberry check, the name of the new sub brand as well as the logo. I am not entirely happy with how it came out- but as I am in very timed and stressful constraints, this is the outcome I have to stick with.

The second image is a mood board of the aesthetic of the event. I want this to be the release event of the app going online. I wanted quite an industrial, yet modern and somehow slightly futuristic look. For example, I wanted concrete floors and walls to make it feel quite compact and industrial; wires and electronics cascading down from the walls and everything to be quite monochrome and rusty (this making us feel consumed by this futuristic world of Burberry Locations). The last image is a plan of the event run way; The circular main stage will create a fun run way style. The screen at the back will play the fashion film I have created. The logo will be printed onto bags with ‘Burberry Locations’ gifts inside- this I have shown in my sketch book.

LOGO

I have decided on the name of BURBERRY LOCATIONS for my sub brand as it involves traveling to different locations important or essential to the parent brand of BURBERRY’S growth. As I am marketing slightly more towards a younger female market I have kept the logo designs quite minimal, neutral and linked to the classic Burberry colour palette. I used the basic symbol of the phone to suggest that it is something to do with apps, technology or tracking. I have two different logo’s, one with a long name and strap line- and the other is an abbreviated “BL” when i need a shorter one.

My sketchbook talks more thoroughly about my inspirations behind this short fashion film. It was made to be posted on Instagram (under 60 seconds) and create a hype about the new SS/20 collection and drop of the BURBERRY LOCATIONS app. I have been thinking about creating an event where this video would also be playing on projectors to create unity and correlation between the platforms.
