The Centre for Arts and Wellbeing (CAW) invites applications for Visiting Research Fellows involved in theoretical research, practice-based research or enterprise-related research (community, social and industry engagement). The aim of this selective fellowship scheme is to provide external researchers, artists and entrepreneurs with a recognised and visible platform for producing excellent research within the CAW. This is a unique opportunity to devise an innovative research project that considers how the arts might improve people’s lives. We welcome applications that celebrate diversity and value knowledge derived from collaboration and wider public engagement.

We encourage, in particular, collaborative outputs and bid development with university staff. Visiting Research Fellows will make excellent contributions to their fields and will participate in and contribute to the CAW’s vibrant research community. Travel, accommodation and fellowship-related research costs of up to £2,000 are part of the Fellowship, but no salary or stipend is paid. Fellowships are usually expected to last between two weeks and two months.

The 2020 guidance and application form CAW VisitingFellowshipApplication is available for those considering to apply.

The deadline for the 2020 scheme is 13 March 2020– and the results will be published 27 March 2020.

Potential applicants are welcome to contact the Centre Director or any other member of the Centre to discuss their application.
