Summary

Online Creative Research Methods symposium on Tuesday 23rd July 2024 14:00-15:30. Open to all.

The Creative Research Methods Group invite you to join us for another vibrant symposium on creative research methods on Tuesday 23rd July 2024 14:00-15:30 BST on Microsoft Teams. The session features:

Matheus de Simone, University of Bahia, Brazil: ‘Praias Nuas: A Comparative Study of the Naturist Experience Between Global South and Europe in the 1970s and 1980s’

Matheus, This research aims to analyse through an artistic and intersectional gaze the coloniality implicit in the construction, maintenance and access to spaces of public nudity built by white culture.

Bethan Prosser, University of Brighton: ‘Co-creating interactive listening walks as a tool for disseminating research findings’

Bethan will share her experiences of co-creating three interactive listening walks about gentrification with a community music organisation (Brighton & Hove Music for Connection) in Brighton, Worthing and St Leonards. These walks have been so far piloted with resident and community groups as part of a post-doctoral project to extend and deepen her toolbox of participatory listening research.

The group is supported by the Centre for Arts and Wellbeing. It is open to all who share our passion for creative methods and our desire to provide a supportive, stimulating space within which to explore these. No advance sign-up is required; just turn up on the day if you wish to join us.
